Rodney D. Ross
Founder,
CEO and CMO

Rodney Ross has the kind of experience and background that you would want to see in your accountant's portfolio. He's not only amassed a considerable track record for success in the 33 years since opening his accounting firm, Ross & Associates in 1982, but he has a proven history of business savvy as well.

This makes him ideally suited to understand both sides of the business-accountant relationship, and to fully appreciate your needs and concerns. This fuels his passion for developing comprehensive business and marketing plans, and watching his clients flourish as a result.

Practically speaking, Rodney undertook his first business venture at the early age of 18, when he purchased a restaurant, and took the risk of opening with only $100 in operating capital. The risk was successful, and Rodney ran the restaurant for several years before selling and returning to college to invest in a degree.

He dove into the business world again in 1985, resurrecting two declining restaurants, and returning them to profitability within six months of purchasing them.

Additionally, his purchase of a full service vending company in 1991 flourished under his guiding hand, and grew from $200,000 in sales with 17 accounts, to over $800,000 annually with over 60 accounts. All of this growth came in just two years, while Rodney continued to manage his ever-growing accounting and tax firm at the same time.

In his precious spare time, Rodney enjoys writing, and collecting coins and stamps. He is also an avid football and basketball fan, but on Sunday you will find him at his local church, where he is very active as head of the Deacons Board. Rodney is committed to his community, and is devoted to the two charities that he created and funds.

Dorothy Ross
Chief Operating Officer

Dorothy Ross has an extensive background working with some of the largest corporations in the United States. She began her career as an administrative assistant for Cal State University, where she thrived for several years before moving on to work with Union Bank in Los Angeles.

Following a professional hiatus to care for her Mother, Dorothy began her employment with Lockheed Aerospace, and Lockheed Federal Credit Union, where she handled payroll operations for 21 plus years.

This experience, her vast knowledge of banking and payroll systems, and attention to detail, has made Dorothy a perfect fit for her position at Ross & Associates.

When she isn't busy ensuring the numbers are perfect, Dorothy pursues her love of reading, shopping and singing. She can be found singing with her local church choir on any given Sunday.
